Currently, the Catalan Family Foundation (FFC) carries out educational activities in three main areas:
Universitat Internacional de Catalunya, Fundació Privada
The FCC’s main project is the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya, Fundació Privada (hereinafter, UIC Barcelona). This university was promoted by the FFC, and both are currently part of the same university-level educational project.
The FFC is also the driving force behind Fert *Batxillerat (hereinafter, *FERT), a school which, as part of the FFC, specialises in upper secondary education and strives to ensure its students receive a high-quality education and solid university preparation.
The FFC’s third area is the awarding of grants and financial aid to help students in special situations, i.e. those who are not eligible for public grants or grants from other entities and who, due to their family situation, are unable to cover the cost of their chosen course of study, study at UIC Barcelona or FERT. The awarding of grants is supervised and approved at all times by the Board of Trustees, taking into account the students’ resources and academic merit.
